*29 - 33 Week Updates*

I can't believe how long since it's been since I've updated.  It's been a really busy last month.  I've been working on the baby's room and getting my classroom ready, which has taken up a lot of time.  I've been struggling with some anxiety and trouble sleeping.  It really started after having to go to L&D for a really strange shake/shiver Oliver did.  I felt him some after, but not much in the morning.  It was such a scary experience, but I'm glad I went in and got him checked.  We also found out that Oliver is breech and the shock of having to get a C-section was a lot for me.  I know that a safe and healthy baby is the most important thing, and I can't wait to meet this little angel.  I'm so blessed to have such a loving and supportive family.  There were a lot of wonderful moments over these past few weeks as well!

Fruit of the week? Acorn squash, cucumber, pineapple, squash, & durian fruit

How are you feeling this week?  Definitely a lot of different feelings over the past month.  The biggest feeling over the past week is fatigue, due to lack of sleep and starting school.  Having the anxiety over lots of things that have happened over the past month and the future.  All I can do is take things day by day and remind myself how blessed I am to be having a little life growing inside of me.  I'm feeling pretty good physically and Oliver is doing well.

Favorite moment this week?  I've had a few favorite moments.  I had a wonderful baby shower.  I got a 3D ultrasound and it was the most beautiful moment of my life.  Getting to see my beautiful son like that was so neat.  I have been experiencing hiccups which are always interesting.  I'm feeling stronger pushes and rolls.  I've gone swimming a few times and love feeling baby when I'm in the water.  I love seeing how excited Alex is about the baby.  I have really enjoyed putting the baby room together with him and see it come together.  He's going to be such a great dad and I'm so grateful to have him in my life.

Any new developments?  Well, Oliver is moving from transverse to frank breech.  Looks like he will be staying that way.  He is growing right on track and according to his head measurements, is a little ahead.  They are estimating him to be about 8 lbs.  He's incredibly beautiful and has lots of hair!!  I love feeling him move all the time.  It's so comforting.

*27 & 28 Week Updates*

Great news, today I'm officially in my third trimester, I can't believe it.  The last few weeks have a been a little stressful.  The pups both got sick for a week, I'm getting my classroom ready, and trying to figure out what exactly to do about maternity leave.  There's just a lot going on!  I have really enjoyed working on his nursery and can't wait for it to be finished!

How are you feeling this week?  I've been feeling a bit stressed the last couple weeks, along with some cramping and back pain.  Other than that, I'm feeling pretty good.

Favorite moment this week?  We got a lot done in the nursery, including putting together almost all the furniture.  We have the changing table left to do, but a piece came broken so that is on hold until the new piece comes in.  Alex's family bought us all the furniture, which was incredible.  Once the furniture is all done, we will be able to start decorating.  Another nice moment is I had my second dream about the baby.  All I can remember is Alex bringing him to me and I held him in my arms.  I can remember the warmth I felt from him.  I said, "Hi, I'm your mommy".  He smiled at me (I know newborns can't do this), but it was a beautiful dream.

Any new developments?  Still feeling baby moving and he still scares me when he has slow days or isn't kicking as hard.  He seems to have a similar pattern of moving during the day.  He's active in the morning, slows down a bit in the afternoon/evening, and then picks back up again around 8.  I can often feel him moving around during my many wake ups during the night. I love feeling him move.  Alex got to feel him again a couple days ago when he was pushing really hard on my belly.

*26 Week Update*

Today was a great day and I was so happy.  I didn't have any worries, which was nice.  I woke up this morning to some major kicking, maybe the strongest I've felt.  One time it even hurt a little.  Alex got to feel him, I mean actually feel him!  No idea what part of him, maybe his head or butt?  But he was going crazy in there.  I just soaked in the beautiful moment.  He was pretty active most of the morning and was doing some crazy turns or something in there around lunch.

I also got to visit my grandparents today and my grammy was rubbing my belly.  She was talking to the baby and was just so happy.  This is the second time I've seen her since I was pregnant and she is just so excited.  I can't wait for her to meet him.  We visited them after we went to the hospital to visit my dad.  All is okay and he had surgery on his bowel.  I'm so happy he's recovering well and can't wait for him to start feeling better.

We have been coming along with the nursery and getting some things.  I finished registering last week! Alex and I went to BRU and looked at the big items.  Then I finished the rest online.  We are registered at BRU and Amazon.  I have been tweaking the list a little and I'm sure I will be doing that up until the shower!  The nursery is all painted and we have cleaned out all the unnecessary furniture in the living/dining room area.  We are waiting for the work to be done on the nursery and then we can start setting some stuff up.  Still waiting to figure out what's going on with the furniture.  Alex's family may buy us a couple pieces.

I also have everything ready for the invitations, all I need is the invitations.  They are in the mail and I have to get out the invitations by Wednesday!

How are you feeling this week?  I'm feeling good this week.  I've been getting some fatigue in the afternoons, but I'm thinking that's due to being busy during the day and not sleeping well at night.

Favorite moment this week?  My favorite moment this week was my sister and mom getting to feel baby move!  He gave them each a good kick!

Any new developments?  Baby has had some stronger kicks this week.  We have been moving forward with the nursery and I'm getting ready to send out my invitations.  Still taking this one day at a time.

*24 & 25 Week Updates*

I really don't have an excuse for doing the weekly updates, since I'm out of school and not doing all that much.  I guess on the days that I worry, I really don't feel like updating or don't even think about it.  Over the last couple weeks, little man has been on the move.  I've had a couple days of slow movement and those have put my in a complete panic.  This is totally new territory for me, so I don't know what is normal or not.  I think this worrying thing will never end, but it will all be worth it.  I love this guy so very much.

I came out last week to my close friends and family.  I felt sending out an email was the best way for me to do it.  I also told them about the miscarriage.  I got such wonderful feedback about both the pregnancy and miscarriage.  I'm glad Rose is no longer a secret to them.  She deserves to be acknowledged and I know she's smiling down on me, proud that I could finally share her with others.

Fruit of the week? Cantaloupe (I'm assuming a small one) and Cauliflower

How are you feeling this week?  I've been feeling pretty good the last two weeks.  The lower abdominal pain has gotten better.  I do feel like quite a lot of sharp pains up my sides.  I've also been dealing with some rib pain (I think that's where it is) on my right side.  I'm very tired and enjoying getting all the sleep I can.  However, I'm having a hard time sleeping at night.  I guess that has kinda been this whole pregnancy.  So it's nice to get to catch up on some sleep during the day.

Favorite moment this week?  My favorite moments over the last two weeks are probably sharing the news with friends and family and feeling so much movement.  My nephew also hugged my belly last week and gave baby a kiss.  He was trying again to listen to him.  I thought that was so cute.

Any new developments?  Baby is definitely moving a lot more.  I had an appointment last week and all seems good.  We are also going to be going to do our registry this week and I'll be finishing it online by the end of the week.  Shower invites will be going out next week.  We got the front room all cleaned out, Alex patched all the holes, and we got the room painted.  I can't believe how everything is coming together.  It's all very exciting.

The most important thing that happened during week 24 was I reached V-day, otherwise known as viability day.  That means that if baby came early, they would work on him and try to save him.  I know the chances are slim of survival before 28 weeks, but I do have some comfort knowing that he would have a chance.

Fruit of the week? Grapefruit

How are you feeling this week? I'm feeling about the same this week.  I had a very busy week packing up my classroom and ending the school year.  It is nice to have some time off.  Still having some aches in my abdomen and started to feel them closer to the middle and upper part of my stomach.  Hope it's all normal growing pains.

Favorite moment this week?  Baby was very active this week.  My students have music twice a week.  On Wednesday, they were singing really loud with the teacher (who was playing her guitar).  LO started moving around and I started to laugh.  I guess he was enjoying himself as well.  Alex got to feel him a lot yesterday and we got to see some more outside kicks.  I also got to meet a dear friend from TB!

Any new developments?  Baby seems to be moving more.  I'm so in love with him I can hardly stand it.  I have also started buying a couple things for him and started putting together my registry.  My mom booked a place for my shower in August.  Though these things give me anxiety, I remind myself to take it day by day and whatever happens is beyond my control.

Captain taking over my snoogle!!  He loves it.  Alex found him in our room yesterday laying on it.

Got to meet a friend from TB yesterday.  We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Anaheim with Alex and her husband.  We had a wonderful time!  It was so nice to meet her.

*21 & 22 Week Updates*

I may just do an update every 2-3 weeks.  I feel like when I'm having a bad week I don't want to update, but know I should.  The last two weeks have been a little rough for me.  I have had cramping this whole pregnancy, but two weeks ago it got a little stronger.  It's in the middle of my lower abdomen and sometimes I feel a stitch in the right or left side.  I know that RLP can cause the side pain, but the abdominal pain in the center is not caused by that.  I saw my doctor and he said everything was normal.  I started to have some brown spotting one day last week and totally freaked.  I had an appointment to see my new doctor in a couple weeks, so I called his office and they got me in the next morning.  After doing a full check, sending me to an ultrasound, urine analysis, and blood work everything came back normal.  Even though it all came back normal, in the back of my mind I feel like they may have missed something.  What is causing this constant pain that never really lets up?  It scares me and I wish it would go away or just know it was something normal.  But there's nothing I can do about it, so I'm looking forward to the school year ending and resting up over

How are you feeling this week?  The nausea has gotten much better and I only feel it occasionally in the evenings.  I really feel like my bump has popped and I loved that.  The abdominal pains are still constant and I hope they go away.

Favorite moment this week?  I felt LO kick from the outside during week 21.  I was eating ranch doritos with salsa and he was going crazy!  Alex got to feel baby kick from the outside over the weekend.  It was so neat for him and he got to feel lots of kicks.  Baby was having a party that morning.

Another great moment was seeing my grandma for the first time since January.  She kept rubbing my belly and telling me how happy she was.  My nephew also acknowledged his cousin this week!  He hugged my belly and was wondering why he couldn't hear his cousin.  I said he couldn't hear him, but he will be able to feel him.  He asked if he could feel him right now, but baby wasn't moving at that moment.  I told him one day he will be able to feel him.  So cute!

We also had another ultrasound and I got to see LO on the screen a couple times.  He wouldn't hold still and wasn't cooperating.  It was nice to see him again though, even though I was very nervous.  I really enjoy feeling him move.

Any new developments?  Just feeling more movement over the past couple weeks.
